Once on this mountain: Mr. Mukesh

As we begin our new academic year, we welcome many new staff members. The Woodstocker caught up with some of them to chronicle the first chapter of their adventures.

Where are you coming from?

I am from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh but I was brought up in Mumbai.

What subject do you teach?

I teach Mathematics.

What’s different about Woodstock from the last place you worked at?

Woodstock has teachers and students from all around the world, which is very different, not many schools offer that. This is the main difference I find in Woodstock and the school I taught in before.

Why did you decide to come to Woodstock?

I came to Woodstock because I wanted to teach at the best school in India! My friend recommended Woodstock to me.

What are your goals for this academic year?

My goals for this academic year are for my students to love math and not feel scared of this subject. I also want all my students to enjoy my math classes but at the same time, to work hard.

Are there any fun facts about you that you’d like to share?

I believe that there is only one God in this world and that’s me.
